Mersea Barns

Mersea Barns is an exciting Shop & Café Destination in East Mersea. Mersea Island has been welcoming families, friends and familiar faces for generations, and Mersea Barns is our way of extending a warm welcome to you.  Our custom-built barn is set within the idyllic farmland on the East of Mersea Island, on a site that once housed the much-loved Jarman’s Nursery and Pick-Your-Own. With planning permission under our belt in November 2016, we turned to familiar faces and familiar places for inspiration; and took the plunge into making Mersea Barns Shop & Café a reality.

Also selling gifts, toys, homeware, delicious food and drink, everyday essentials and Mersea memories, our shop is perfect for both islanders and visitors alike. Inside and outside tables. Plenty of parking. Wheelchair accessible. Dogs welcome in outside seating area or at lobby tables.
